NAWBO - National Association of Women Business Owners -- Lexington Kentucky Chapter

10 reasons to join NAWBO

1. Network with Success

A variety of local and national NAWBO meetings and events offer plenty of opportunities to meet new people, exchange ideas and make contacts.

Our program committee works to bring the most successful local women business owners to meetings for networking.

Many members participate in Information Exchanges, organized around different professional interests (technology, lawyers, facility services, consumer direct, manufacturers, etc.).

Members have access to the international marketplace through NAWBO's affiliation with Les Femmes Chefs d'Enterprises Mondiales (FCEM, World Association of Women Entrepreneurs).

2. Visibility

NAWBO aggressively looks for public relations opportunities to promote the organization, as well as individual members, to the business community through local and national media.

There are many ways to advertise your company cost effectively in the nationwide member-to-member mailers, at chapter events and in other media.

NAWBO recommends candidates for Boards of Directors and Commissions, local & national awards.

3. Referrals

NAWBO is working to increase procurement opportunities for women business enterprises (WBEs) and to create a uniform certification system for WBEs through the Women Business Owners Corporation.
